Global award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and cultural preservationist, Milton Arceneaux is co-founder of Louisiana Creole Culture and President of Vues de Culture. He brings a deep personal and historical lens to Built on Zydeco, shaped by years of work in photography, oral history, and public programming. His commitment to documenting and protecting Creole identity, language, and lived experience drives the heart of this project.
Cultural organizer and longtime advocate for Louisiana arts, Dustin Cravins is co-director of Built on Zydeco. His family founded the legendary Zydeco Extravaganza in 1987, which he has led for over a decade. His deep ties within the Zydeco community and experience in live production and outreach ensure the film is both culturally grounded and accessible.
Robert Chevalier is a practicing attorney with over 20 years of experience and a lifelong connection to Creole culture. Raised in Cecilia, LA, he brings legal expertise, strategic oversight, and cultural insight to the role of producer. His work ensures the project’s integrity — from contracts to community engagement — while honoring the traditions and people at its core.
